What PsyAus Health offers

Here is what you can expect from us.

PsyAus Health works with adults in every state and territory. Sessions run live by video or phone. You need a private space and a phone or a device with a camera.

There are four services. General mental health covers therapy with a psychologist, or counselling. The adult ADHD and autism assessments each run over several sessions with a psychologist and end with a written report. You can have them separately or together. ADHD coaching works on routines, planning and follow-through. You choose which one suits you.

Before you book, you read each practitioner's profile and choose who you see. After you get in touch, we aim to reply within one business day. At the end of each session, you and your practitioner agree your next step.

Your fee comes in writing before you book. Medicare rebates may apply to psychology sessions with a Mental Health Treatment Plan. You can also book without a plan. You can pay by card or with Afterpay.

Read the practitioner profiles to see who you could work with. When you are ready, book an appointment online or send us a question first.

Why PsyAus Health exists

People often ask three things before they book. Who will I see? When will I hear back? What happens after the first session? The service is built around all three.

  1. You choose who you see

Each practitioner has a profile that lists their training, the areas they work in and how they run sessions. It also shows their next available times. You read the profiles, then book the person you want.

  2. You hear back from us

Send us a question first or book online, whichever suits you. We aim to reply within one business day. Your fee, any Medicare rebate you can claim and your session details come to you in writing.

  3. You know your next step

Before you log off, you and your practitioner agree what happens next. It might be more sessions, an assessment, a referral or no further care. An ADHD or autism assessment ends with a written report and next-step plan.

How the service runs

Here is what happens, step by step, from your first enquiry.

  • Choose from the profiles

Each profile lists training, focus areas, how sessions run and next available times. Pick a psychologist, counsellor or ADHD coach, then book.

  • Hear back from us

Book online, or send us a question first. We aim to reply within one business day, with your fee confirmed in writing.

  • Meet your practitioner live

Each session runs live by video or phone. Your practitioner asks what brought you here and what you would like help with.

  • Agree your next step

At the end, you and your practitioner agree the next step. It could be more sessions, a referral or no further care.

  • The assessment report

An adult ADHD or autism assessment runs over several sessions with a psychologist online. You finish with a written report and a next-step plan.

The practitioners you can choose from

PsyAus Health has three types of practitioner. Each one works with adults by video or phone. Each profile states their exact title and training. Not sure who suits you? Send us a question and we will suggest where to start.

How we handle privacy and consent

These four points apply every time you contact us, book a session or meet your practitioner.

  • We protect your health information

We collect, store and handle your health information under Australian privacy law. You can ask to see what we hold about you at any time. Read the Privacy Policy

  • We ask for your consent

In your first session, your practitioner explains how sessions work, what goes in your record and the limits of confidentiality. You can ask questions or pause at any time.

  • We ask before we share

With your consent, your practitioner can update your GP or another health professional involved in your care. The law sets a few exceptions, such as serious risk of harm.

  • We refer on when needed

Telehealth is not right for every concern. If it is not right for you, your practitioner explains why and may suggest in-person care, a GP review or another service.
